THE PEACE TAPES...

The purpose of THE PEACE TAPES is to bring the subject of peace and how to obtain it, back to the forefront of all people’s minds. People still really want peace. Deep down in their hearts, and perhaps buried in people’s minds, humanity seeks world peace. But peace has to start in each person’s heart and mind; in his own backyard, and then expand to his fellow neighbors, townsmen, countrymen, and to all living things

It is our sincere belief that THE PEACE TAPES will help regenerate the peace movement. To achieve this goal THE PEACE TAPES will be a series which will unfold the evolution, the chronology and documentation of the achievements of the peace movement. The first tape in the series features Mr. Richie Havens, who opened at Woodstock, and Ms. Yoko Ono, wife of the late "soldier of peace", John Lennon. Also featured are Country Joe McDonald (also at Woodstock), the late Abbie Hoffman, Ram Dass, Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead and many others. The tape captures these individual’s perspectives on world peace, what it was to them in the more radical peace movement of the 1960’s, and what they are actively doing in the pursuit of world peace today. The tape is historical in that it will also feature other performers and celebrities of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s peace movement and rare, exclusive footage, never before seen.

Different peace organizations from all over the world will be given the opportunity to express their needs and goals throughout the series.

Chronologies of all the things we are doing that are hurting the planet and those things we can do to help the planet will be documented in future volumes of THE PEACE TAPES. To this end, we hope to provide the impetus for positive change, growth and awareness of our responsibilities and those that face future generations.

As we are not affiliated with any group, political or otherwise, we feel that we can let the tapes speak for themselves… letting the viewers come to their own conclusions. We feel THE PEACE TAPES are an important contribution to obtaining world peace...
